Amateur Radio Operators can offer valuable assistance with emergency operations.

• In the Portland, Oregon area, you can volunteer as a member of the Portland Neighborhood Emergency Team (NET). Note that during the pandemic, training programs for NET volunteers are temporarily suspended.
• Similar programs in other cities are known as Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
